1:40 - Russia isn't 99% white. First of all, we have 10 million Asian immigrants, also Russia have 25% of its population non Russians originally, this is different nationalities from Tatars (Turkish people) to Asians (Buryats, Yakuts) and other 200 nationalities inside Russia. Since recent years we also have Ukrainians inside our country as third minor nation after Tatars and Russians

@pedros1 I myself have mixed blood of 3/4 Russian and 1/4 Tatar. Tatars are Muslim Turkish people, but Caucassians are considered White people if I am not wrong

@notchit3542 73% of Russia is Asian, but only 25% of Russians are living in Asian part of Russia and half of them are Slavic white people. This is territories that were colonized, they originally didn't belonged to Russia, Russia have annexed even some Chinese territories in mid 19th century, but all Chinese population was forced to abandon this land where at now Vladivostok city exists. This territories are still unpopulated. Majority, 75% of population still living in European part on native Russian land

@pedros1 Kazan Tatars are Turkish like Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Uyghurs and Turks themselves. Anyway my father is from heavily Russified Tatar family and not from Kazan, and my surname is Russified despite not being Russian

@AG-mm9wn no, Russia originated from Europe during medieval, Asian parts of Russia were colonized by white Slavic people in 16th-18th centuries. The problem with understanding Russia in the West is language barrier. Because here in Russia we have two different words with different meaning that are translated to English same - Russkiy and Rossiyanin. There are difference between nation and people. People is about genetics, about ethnicity, while nation is passport. Both words "Russkiy" and "Rossiyanin" are translated to English as "Russian", while "Russkiy" means ethnicity, Slavic genetics, and "Rossiyanin" means citizenship of Russia, nation. We have multicultural ideology of our nation and every person in Russia have equal rights no matter of genetics and race and considered as citizen, "Rossiyanin". While 75% of population are "Russkie" because they are genetically Slavic white people originated from Ancient medieval Rus' Kingdoms from which Russia was built as a state
