In Italy Germany had small army of 160 000 men against 540 000 allies, Italy was disarmed, when in Kursk Germany concentrated 780 000 soldiers against 2 000 000 soviets. Even if Germany had 50-80 000 more troops in Kursk, they couldn't won battle of Kursk, but if Germany could have 220-350 000 more troops in Italy, Allies couldn't sipmy throw naval desants in empty undefended areas behind german lines, and push german lines to easy.
