In the 2000s, Russia tried to join the EU and NATO, but we were not accepted. In 2007, there were even negotiations on a visa-free regime with the EU, but they failed. Back in 2007, Putin said in his Munich speech that the expansion of NATO to the borders of Russia does not suit us, that this creates threats. Russia is forced to follow the path of confrontation with the West. This means that the pro-Western foreign policy of Ukraine cannot suit us.

  11.  @garygraham8373  Taiwan isn't independent county - this is unrecognised by most countries in the World separatist state, just like DPR and LPR - Russian separatists in the east of Ukraine, against which Ukraine is fighting for last 8 years. If you suppourt Ukraine in Ukrainian war, so, to not be hypocrite, you must suppourt China in its conflict with Taiwan
