@sergeyb8 yes, that was a very silly and catastrophic decision to invade Ukraine. Russian command and Putin simply have no brain

I do not understand why everyone is surprised - Russia is fighting against Ukraine without mobilization. Russia is fighting using only contract volunteers. In fact, Russia uses somewhere around 20% of its military power. Of course, after more than half a year of war, Ukraine, thanks to mobilization, has achieved a serious numerical superiority. Without mobilization, Russia cannot really make up for losses. Using their numerical superiority, the Ukrainians are able to easily manipulate the Russians. The Ukrainians announced an attack on Kherson, Russia was forced to pull the last free forces there from other sectors of the front, as a result of which they were weakened. Then Ukraine hit the weakened area with other forces.

@Annae_xs I'm a military historian. Suffice it to recall the Second World War. Military equipment cannot operate in isolation from the infantry. If you increase the number of military vehicles without increasing the number of infantry, you will simply start losing more vehicles. In addition, an increase in the number of troops leads to the fact that it becomes easier for enemy artillery to inflict losses on you - there are more targets. The higher density of your troops contributes to the work of enemy artillery. The USSR, having the most tanks and equipment, also lost them the most - during the battle for Khalkhin Gol in 1939, the USSR suffered the same losses in infantry as Japan. However, Soviet losses in vehicles turned out to be a few times higher, because USSR deployed few times higher amount of vehicles.
