Russian troops are advacing with support of artillery, tanks and aviation, this is myth about "human wave tactics". In spring-summer 2022 Russia was able to advance being in numerical minority. Before october 2022 Russia was fighting without mobilization and Russia still isn't using conscripts, while Ukraine started its mobilization already on the 1st day of war. This means that Russia was using professional contract troops, while Ukraine was using 18 years old poorly equipped and poorly trained conscripts, and poorly trained and poorly equipped Ukrainian mobilized.
