 @Ziixisbased Ukraine was not conducting any offensives across Dnieper river. This dam explosion didn't stopped Ukrainian offensive, because it is didn't began and I think it even wasn't planned

@AniMewAlex Russia isn't invading Ukraine, but conducting a peacekeeping operation to protect the right of self-determinatiin of Russian people, who are living in the south-east Ukraine. If Russia doesn't care about this population - so why the Russian rescue services are helping civilians in the Kherson region right now?

@AniMewAlex it is peacekeeping, just like was in Kosovo. The regions of south-east of Ukraine are populated by Russian. In Crimea in 2013, before the annexation, 60% of the population were Russians, and only 24% were Ukrainians. In the Donbass, Zaporije and Kherson regions 30-40% of the population are Russians. This is ethnical Russian regions, and in 2014 there was a rebellion in the south-eastern Ukraine, when on april 6th 2014 Donetsk People's Republic declared independence from Ukraine. Ukraine answered to this declaration by war against Russians, on april 14th 2014 Ukraine announced "anti-terrorist operation". This is how the war in the Donbass began. In 2022 Russia recognised independence of DPR and LPR, signed a collective defense pact with them and at now Russia is conducting a "peacekeeping special military operation", like NATO did in Kosovo, when Albanians in Kosovo declared their independence from Serbia and NATO conducted operation to protect their right to self-determination.

@ДаняШУЛИКИН actually few Russian civilians died during the kamikadze Crimean bridge terract by Ukraine. And this Russiam civillians were liberals from St. Petersburg, who didn't supported the war. So this is terract. Ukraine is a terrorist. Crimean bridge isn't a legitimate military. Crimea de facto is Russian territory, even if the World recognises this Russian territory as part of Ukraine

@ДаняШУЛИКИН By the time the dam burst, the water level in the reservoir was much higher than normal. After Ukrainian missile strikes, the dam could have been damaged, after which the flow of water through the hydroelectric power station was reduced. By June 2023, the water level was already well above normal, and the damaged dam broke. There was no explosion.

@ДаняШУЛИКИН How can a dam be repaired during a war when the river is the dividing line between the two armies? I am not an expert in the field of hydroelectric power stations, I do not yet have a professional higher education in engineering, but in my opinion, in order to repair a hydroelectric power station, you need to somehow drain the water, and there are poured concrete walls, a complex and large structure. Again, I'm not an expert, but if the Russians didn't fix the HPP, then they couldn't.
