@ryuakuma732 And in general there is a huge difference between the Crimea and other territories of Ukraine. Crimea is truly Russian territory. In 2014, in Crimea, 60% of the population were Russians, 20% of the population were Tatars, 16% of the population were Ukrainians, and 4% were the rest. There were more than three times more Russians in Crimea than Ukrainians. In fact, Crimea is an absolutely Russian territory, which is not clear how it ended up in Ukraine. In 1954, Khrushchev gave Ukraine the Russian land, which is inhabited by the Russian population. In general, Khrushchev was a bad politician - he ruined agriculture, quarreled with China, harmed the economy. And handed over the Crimea to Ukraine. The worst ruler of the USSR.

@ryuakuma732 In addition, territories are not important for us, we are already the largest country in the world. We are fighting for the people. And everyone who wanted to be evacuated to the territories controlled by Russia was evacuated before the retreat of our troops from near Kherson. About 100 thousand people from Kherson were evacuated to the left bank of the Dnieper.
The regions of the south-east of Ukraine are inhabited by Russian people. In Crimea in 2014, 60% of the population was Russian. When our army began to seize the Crimea, the local people rejoiced and greeted our soldiers as liberators. People in Crimea have been waiting for 23 years for the moment when they will return home to Russia. In eastern Ukraine, 50% of the population is Russian and 50% Ukrainian. In the south of Ukraine, 30-40% of the population are Russians. Why did this war even start and why did we decide in 2014 to regain Crimea? You see, there was a coup d'état in Ukraine and the pro-Russian government was overthrown by pro-Western and anti-Russian politicians. Therefore, we were forced, we simply had no choice but to protect the Russian people in Crimea from the anti-Russian revolutionaries who had seized power in Kyiv. Russian people, citizens of Ukraine, went out in 2014 to protest against that coup d'etat and the overthrow of the pro-Russian president. By taking Crimea, we defended their right to self-determination. And the Ukrainian army agreed to voluntarily leave the Crimea. Ukrainian officers shook hands with our officers, 20 thousand Ukrainian soldiers left the Crimea without a fight. Because they knew that Crimea is Russian territory.
