Russia fought against Ukraine without mobilization with small army of 150 thousand soldiers while Ukraine had an army of 220 thousand men at the start of the war and Ukraine was mobilizing from the start of the war, so in september 2022 there were 400 thousand Ukrainian soldiers and 180 thousand Russian soldiers and Ukraine with 2.5 to 1 numerical superiority achieved breakthrough in Kharkov region. So, Russia conducted one wave of mobilization not because of casualities - this is completely not the case because in september 2022 Russian army was even bigger than in the start of the war, but because it is impossible to fight and not lose against the enemy who have 2-3 times more soldiers than you
