  1. 4G and especially 5G cell service is now simply wi-fi. Expensive wi-fi. (The voice service is simply VOIP). It could be free if we all used our wifi routers to build a public access meshnet. There are aspiring decentralized ISP alternatives which will even pay you to contribute a wifi router to their network. So not only could it be free but would actually pay you. But apparently most people are stupid so they keep paying cell service providers for their expensive wifi while aspiring decentralized alternatives die.

  2.  @omarino99  Maybe if enough awareness of the decentralized alternatives is raised most people will begin to use them and abandon the expensive centralized options which currently dominate.
