@Tinky1rs They use the staff of hermes because it is a symbol for the hermetic arts, alchemy, which is the origin of pharmaceuticals (medicines). Some say that the staff of hermes is associated with scam artists and thieves though, because most alchemists were con artists, and that one should beware any practitioner which uses the staff of hermes.

It's called a "caduceus" or rod/staff of hermes not "the rod of caduseus".

@Algardraug Yes, it IS true. You seem to be oblivious to the fact I said the caduceus is considered to be associated with scam artists and thieves. Or is it you compulsively argue with people due to a quarellsome nature? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12197200 The staff of asclepius is NOT a symbol for alchemy or alchemists and was not used by the alchemists who were also healers. Again, it was from alchemists that chemistry and pharmaceuticals originated. Therefore it's appropriate to use the caduceus if you practice the sort of medicine which uses synthetic pharmaceuticals as opposed to more natural medicine such as herbs.
