  2. AOC's agenda is not about "quick fixes" - this will be a prolonged slog. These changes will take a long time, as they should. The good news is that the younger US generations are better informed than their parents and they KNOW that e.g. the Nordic Model is NOT Venezuela-style "communism". It is Social Democracy - true democracy that cares about social issues while allowing reined-in capitalism to flourish. Voting in the Nordic countries is an effortless RIGHT, not a hard-won privilege.

  5. A "girl", a "young woman" - Greta Thunberg is simply in the difficult age "in between" - a teenager. Just call her a brilliant teenager! So China is dumping more trash than the US? Well, the US has been at it for much longer than China AND the Chinese population more than 4 more numerous than the US population. By that measure, they are ENTITLED to dump more trash than the US. The big difference is the fact that China is drowning it's own shite,THEY KNOW IT and they are bloody well working on it, which is more than can be said for the US so far.

  6. Cussing and denigrating narrow-minded people that are only living the American way (protect what they have, ignoring the needs of the rest of society) will lead you nowhere. Much as I admired the US in the sixties and seventies, I now believe the US is in a death spiral. The political system is a swamp, the voting system is totally screwed up due to decades of tampering and, bottom line, too many Americans seem to be morally bankrupt.

  7. An Impeachment Inquiry is simply a fact-finding process. If a lot of wrongdoings are found, the Republicans will be FORCED to accept impeachment, if insufficient wrongdoings are found, Congress will simply not go ahead with the Impeachment itself and Trump will be truly exonerated. Likely, eh? The bottom line: If the Impeachment Inquiry is NOT started, Trump will have successfully obstructed justice. Nancy Pelosi is either a wimp or her strings are being pulled by her Big Donors.
