  4. This a scraping-the-bottom-othe-barrel "scandal". If Bernie accepting his salary as a senator is the worst scandal the opposition can find, Bernie is in good shape. By this yardstick, ALL senators are involved in a "scandal".

  5. I have long held that being an 'Murican right-winger is likely to be a mental disorder of some sort. Radicals like some of the people we see here have a rather severe case of this disorder. The clearest symptoms seem to be an obvious lack of empathy and an affinity for outlandish conspiracy theories, to name a few.

  7. The problem with people that are significantly to the left of whatever the "center" might be in any given part of the world, is the fact that they fight so much among themselves that all the radical right has to do is stand back and wait it out.

  11. I haven't followed AOC's tweets, but those that I have seen quoted have not been mean by any stretch of imagination. She has a knack of reflecting whatever or whoever she is responding to directly back to the issue or individuals she is responding to, and almost invariably with a touch of humor thrown in. Her response to the "dancing scandal" was magnificent, and a good example of her supposedly "mean" tweets. I hope she will be able to keep this up.
