  2.  @billhensley8324 , Putin has HAD many exiled Russians assassinated, either by a bullet to the head, a nerve agent (Novichok?) and, in at least one case with having a Russian journalist ingest radioactive material. No one (except Putin's henchmen) knows the exact number. Putin does not assassinate his opponents with his own lily-white hands, but the man is a monster.

  3.  @gibbs677bg how, how true! Perhaps they have been better at hiding it, but there have been glaring cases. It is hard for the US to cast stones, seeing that they live in a glass house.

  4. I find this "news" clip horribly superficial. What should have been added: The types of testing kits this relates to (with a picture to help people identifying the dangerous ones), clarification about what actions with the kit is dangerous and, most important, solid advice on how to properly dispose of the stuff.

  5. The flurry of United Airlines incidents are probably due to United maintenance quality issues rather than the aircraft type. I am not trying to excuse Boeing, their reputation as the "gold standard of aviation safety" began to tarnish 30 years ago and is now so corroded that it is falling apart before our very eyes.
