  1. I generally do not bother watching documentaries about the German Russian campaign (Operation Barbarossa), mostly because of the futility of it and the the pointless expenditure of human lives. I find it too disheartening and sad. The toll the Russian people had to pay far exceeds the toll the Jews paid when it comes to numbers of lives lost, but at least the Russians were active combatants, fighting for their Motherland, the Jews were non-combatant citizens that were caught unaware. Hitler had no more chance of conquering Russia than Napoleon did. If you fight Russians, you do it OUTSIDE Russia, trying to invade Russia is absolutely pointless. Besides, why would anyone want to invade this cesspool of corruption (2021)?
