  1. A decade or more ago I was fascinated by Nigel Farage, when he was masterfully ripping into the corrupt underbelly of the EU bureaucracy, something that was desperately needed at the time. Since then I have realized that Farage is dangerous to the world of genuine democracy, uncomfortably aligned with Trump and other fascist forces. I am not British so I have little "skin in the game", but I am European and reserve the right to worry about these things.
