  2. 2024 update: While Iceland/China formal relations have not changed since Russia started its expansion operation in 2022 (with a nod from China), the general public is having second and third thoughts about trusting anything China does. Putin's Russia is out in the cold! The only Russians freely accepted here are proven Putin dissidents like Pussy Riot - ALL other Russians are suspect as potential Putin operatives, until proven otherwise. It may be a bit unfair, but Russians are considered guilty until proven innocent, the only way to handle Russians abroad until Putin and his oligarchy is dead, gone and dissolved.
