  2. Ukraine had the blind luck to have elected a comedian as their president when Russia invaded. Comedians are invariably very intelligent people that have immersed themselves into the vagaries and frailties of humanity. Zelensky turns out to be a magnificent leader that will go down in the history books in the same class as Churchill and FDR while Putin will be relegated to the reviled Hitler/Mussolini class. Zelensky is a PR wizard, a natural diplomat in trying times, suddenly thrust upon the world stage. Being proficient in English would have helped him immensely on that stage and he has made great progress, but it is impressive how he recognizes his current limitations and simply sticks with his native language when needed and makes it WORK!
