It's not as if Taylor Swift has been screaming politics from the rooftops, she has on occasions passionately expressed her political views on some subjects (NOT conservative!), she managed to (gasp!) encourage her fans to vote - not HOW to vote, mind you, just get out there and participate - and it was a roaring success! She may have "endorsed" Biden or some Democrats at one time or another, but that is her prerogative in "the land of the free".   3. As a non-'Murican I am astounded by the shenanigans of the 'Murican judicial system. First of all, these legal gymnastics drive home he fact that the Law has nothing to do with Justice! It is all about who can afford the slickest talkers (lawyers) the longest. In a nutshell: The ´Murican judicial system is the "best justice" money can buy! The realization how corrupt the 'Murican system has become is depressing: The legislative branch (the House and the Senate) is thoroughly corrupt and has been bought wholesale by the grandest bidders. The Judicial system has become even worse: Remember how the most important issue these days is WHO APPOINTED THE JUDGES! With the SCOTUS so corrupted from the ground up, the last resort becomes the executive branch - which is like a windsock in turbulence. Corrupt yesterday, attempting to go straight today but almost certain to lapse tomorrow - just like any genuine power-greedy junkie. The final say rests with the 'Murican voters that have been gerrymandered, mislead, cheated, lied to and discouraged from voting to the point of near extinction! The strongest political force in 'Murica seems to be apathy! The politicians electing their voters, not the voters electing their leaders.

Kennedy was unable to comprehend a perfectly good answer by calling it "a word salad", the only response should be "I cannot help your lack of intellect or understanding of basic concepts".   6. How the aircraft managed to shed both it's wings AND empennage while otherwise staying intact is a curiosity to be examined later. This is the "we're all guessing" stage. The facts will emerge, eventually. Most important: The fuselage is in one piece, having served the main purpose of protecting he passengers from harm. As a retired airline pilot, I can point out the most dangerous point awaiting in this accident: Lots of passengers, hanging safely upside-down in their seat belts. All the built-in safety features have worked pretty well. Can you imagine surviving a serious airliner crash, being safe and secure until the crash itself is over: A panicked passenger operating their seat buckle, dropping on their head and breaking their neck! I am sure whatever injuries are sustained in this accident will be due to post-crash mistakes.

  8. Young Cassidy, a conservative, has a conscience and a moral backbone sorely lacking in other conservatives. An admirable and intelligent young woman. I cannot help wondering if she has been rendered less conservative by her experience, or if she still thinks the right-wing policies are the only way to go. As a citizen of a Nordic country I subscribe to the idea of Controlled Capitalism AND Social Safety Nets that has served my part of the world admirably for generations. The current 'Murican "Conservative" mindset feels like a mental disease to me.

As far as I know, the Executive branch have, on rare occasions, simply ignored out-of-touch SCOTUS rulings (Google it!), so the president, by older precedents, the means to thwart any SCOTUS rulings that amounts to a Constitutional Crisis - after all, the SCOTUS is just a plump slab of powerless lard, without any means of enforcing whatever crazy rulings they have been bribed to make. Former presidents have done this successfully!
