  1. No sweat, really. Who says the SCOTUS has any influence, anywhere? Apparently there have been cases where the executive branch has simply ignored SCOTUS rulings - AND SUCCEEDED! The SCOTUS has no real power at all, when push comes to shove. If the EXECUTIVE branch does not like what these "legal brain soups" decide, it can simply give the SCOTUS the middle finger! SCOTUS has NO executive power! If the LEGISLATIVE branch does not like SCOTUS shenanigans (more frequent these days, with the current crop of corrupt "Justices") the Legislative branch can simply change the legislation! SCOTUS actually has to dance to the tune written by Congress! They are only there to interpret potential ambiguities in the law as decided by Congress. If Congress does not agree with the currently twisted, medieval interpretations of the SCOTUS, all they have to do is to CLARIFY the letter of the law, effectively rendering the SCOTUS irrelevant!

  3. This was a good one! It sheds some light on how ridiculous secession ideas actually are. Such ideas may be comforting to an angry and ignorant person, and might even end in violence, and the last 'Murican civil war was supposed to settle the matter, but the root cause (white supremacy and racism) was never truly put to bed - hence all the Confederate flags still flying in the Drawling states. Shouldn't they (the flags), strictly speaking, be considered treason?

On the flip side, countless harmful chemicals are allowed in US food and candies - but are banned tin Europe because of their potential harm to consumers. Go figure. In the US, lawn darts are illegal but a house full of loaded guns is not? 3 deaths due to lawn darts in the years until they were banned, but how many children have died in the US from guns in the first half of 2022 alone? Go figure. LegalEagle, I just love your biting irony!

  5. Watching this now (end of October 2019) is sickening. We now know that Epstein was terminated, possibly by his own hand but much more likely by some of the powerful people threatened by this scandal. The "coincidences" (spelled: massive security failures) in the prison where Epstein died are more than telling - and no one has been held accountable so far!
