I would suggest for places where u don't need them, where there is no hurry, like ur home or clubs, no need to use them. Just sip it. And where u use them in hurry, like u r late for work or college, just use plastic but don't throw it in any pond or canal, throw it in dustbin. For people who really insist on them, charge them a few cents more more and use the plastic ones only, but again request them to throw it in bins. Remember no matter how much u try u can never make 8 billion people perfect, only 126 M among us are japanese. Not only straws, for any single use plastic rather than banning them and demonizing people , just ask them to throw them in bins, and some which will not end up in bins, pay janitors to clean them, there r millions of unemployed people, hire them to pick them up from streets before they end up in environment.
I read a article last night that approximately 6 M tons of plastics r SUPPOSED to be present in oceans by now, but scientists have so far located only 200000 tons, that's like 3% , or 1 in 30. all the rest have either sunk, or r decomposed by bacteria(yes some bacteria can do it), and some r yet to be located. so basically, its not as harmful to nature as we predicted. The ones remaining r the most potent ones, being scooped out by Mr. Beast and others. The best solution to this is to not throw them in oceans any more, and slowly clean the damage we done. Reducing the wastagr of plastic will be the best method for sure. Like packing a 2 inch pendrive in a 4x6 inch cardboard+plastic box, or a miserable headphone in a 4x6x3 inch box. no one need so much space for writing the info or brand name. wait it gets worse, in west u have banana, orange , peeled off, then sealed in plastic containers 😑. some where i saw a canned soda wrapped in plastic 😮. They amazon deliveries send u a half inch thick strip of medicine in a hapf feet dimensions box. these r where u should protest, but not like dogs, file legals requests against them, and they will slowly decrease their wastage. No plastic stuff specially ones where strength matters can never replace plastic in my opinion. If its a container for serving sauce lets say, a wooden/clay pot would do, but when u try to use a cardboard carrybad instead of nylon, it never works out. Last year i brought about a kilo of chicken barbecue in that damn cardboard bag, and it literally feel off, the bag just opened from buttom. This would never happen with the weakest of the plastic bags. Plastic is also water proof. There r good reasons why its used everywhere.
So in summary its the companies that mattter more than the customers . Demonizing individual customers is easy thats why u take that rout. Rather than spreading awareness and giving sub sidies to companies who pollute less, u harass customers for doing what everyone else does/did days ago.
SUBSTITUTE WHERE U CAN, REDUCE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, DON'T SUBSTITUTE WHERE U CAN'T, BE PATIENT AND CALM, BE POLITE TO COMMON PEOPLE, AND USE UR EXTRA ENERGY TO DO ACTUAL CLEANING OF ENVIRONMENT RATHER THAN SHITTY RIOTS, AND SPEND LESSER WHEN U CAN REUSE OR RECYCLE PRODUCTS, SPEND THAT MONEY ON 100% BIODEGRADABLE STEAKS FOR EXAMPLE
That's all i gotta say to all climate activists out there.

Let's be honest Paul, most of us don't have time and energy to dress up like that every day. We may have more disposable income, but we have atleast 10X less disposable times with us than our ancestors, that explains the majority of us who wear boring clothes, specially men as beauty is not our thing and we have much more work too. apart from the 81M hoe Biden voters, the rest of us are not all NPCs, we r just trying our best to put up in this competitive world. I myself dress like those boring middle aged men u shown. But there's a difference between us and the woman u showed with her vagina being displayed off her tight cloths, that's not time saving or easy, that's just pure seducing and 'empowering' somehow. Those r not same as us. Women who r not hoes or vulgar would not dress like that, but most of them are hoes now a days 😓. Anyways that's from my part telling u, yes from a poor working class dude, that time is the main reason we wear boring cloths all the time now a days, even the minority of hard working women, who believe in honesty and hard work rather than seducing and feminism, they also dress boring like us only. Not our fault, we need to find a solution to internet and cell phone addiction fast. 😅
