😢 i really feel bad for east Europeans as they have suffered for all their life for thousands of years.
It all started with Nicholas II. The tzars before him brought the population of the nation from 30 M to 130 M in about 90 years(3 generations) , while still being the poorest nation in Europe. If we had a good tzar in 1900s , we wouldn't have lost the Japanese war, nor WW1. No communism would have happened, no genocide, no civil war, no revolution, no loss of buffer states by the Germans ( Poland Belarus Ukraine baltics Romania Finland ) , all would be still part of russia after WW1. Also we would have gained Kurdistan, Assyrian, thicker Armenia from dying Ottoman Empire if the tzars were there. With the tzars being removed, the british kicked russia from the plan.
Now imagine all those combined :
1. Russian Empire(or atleast a state with same borders) in 21st century
2. No revolution
3. No civil war
4. No genocide
5. No communism
6. No drastic loss in WW1
7. No drastic loss in WW2
8. No forced industrialization, rather natural and slow industrialization like the west, maybe we will be 100 years backyards but we would be stable.
9. No destruction of russian culture or Christianity
10. No cold war
11. Buffer across west and south of Russia
12. Countless lives saved , and countless more children born from them
That's what a superpower would look like.
Today USA has
1. Food (great)
2. Tech (best)
3. Weapons Stockpile (endless)
4. People (great)
5. Money (endless)
6. Area (great)
7. Oil (great)
While Russia has :
1. Food (great) ✓
2. Tech (great) ✓
3. Weapons Stockpile (great) ✓
4. People (very low) X
5. Money (barely any) X
6. Area (infinite but useless) ✓
7. Oil (endless) ✓
Those two key things that we lack r the reason why russia is so weak and a laughing stock in the world. I am not russian by ethnicity or nationality. I just want fair judgement that's why I am saying this
