  3.  @TheLocalLt  . It is very accurate. Communism/Collectivism doesn't work because it's totalitarian suppression of the individual. There will always be a large percentage in a given population in a communist state who dare to dream bigger; they want to be able to buy whatever they want, whenever they want, they want to control their own destiny without constant interference, or threat of interference, from Mother State. It is basic psychology. It might work on the groupthinker, but that's because they hope to gain some advantage themselves, advantages they would be unable to gain without the support from the system they serve unconditionally. Apparatchick's was an example of this trait of character. Zappa was spot on. -And for the celebs you're using as an example, remember this; they have been living on the "good will" of Mother State, everything Mother State has allowed them to achieve can be taken away overnight. The Sword of Damocles was always there. Other celebs (most) are opportunist who hope to stay in the saddle by constantly adjusting to their overlords.
