  19. (Matthew 24:3) "While [Jesus] was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: 'Tell us, . . . what will be the sign of your presence and the conclusion of the system of things?'" (Luke 21:10, 11) "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, food shortages, and pestilences in one place after another." Pestilence is another word for pandemic. Further, the Bible accurately describes the behavior of most people worldwide. (2 Timothy 3:1-5) "But know that critical times hard to deal with will be here in the last days. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without the love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power." And it warns people's behavior will get worse. (2 Timothy 3:13) "wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse, misleading and being misled." Notice this significant part of the sign of the conclusion of the system of things. (Matthew 24:14) "And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." Jesus said there would be a global preaching effort by Christians. Only one group on the planet bears Witness to God's name and His Kingdom. They've knocked on doors, witnessed by cart, informal witness, and more. You know them by their name, but I'll let God tell you who they are through His Word. (Isaiah 43:10) "'You are my witnesses,' declares Jehovah."

  22.  @glershnern5300  There's nothing smug about requiring an employee handling my food to wear masks and gloves. I'm not referring to a charity. I'm a paying customer, and there are basic requirements during a pandemic to ensure the virus doesn't spread. Two of those are masks and gloves. Everything I posted in my above comment is a reasonable request, but let me break it down to clarify the points. 1. "If I walk into any restaurant and see ONE employee not wearing a mask (and gloves, although this is likely fine... but masks are a requirement), I walk out." That means I quietly assess the situation and leave without talking to any employees. I've done it a few times now. 2. "If I place an order and discover an employee (especially the cook) isn't wearing a mask (and gloves), I request a refund." I'm not going to say anything, other than requesting a refund and answering their question if they ask. 3. "And if a refund is not possible. I tell the business why I am not taking the food and that they've lost a customer for life, and I'm out the door." Even in this context, I am still respectful. I can't entirely agree with taking food from a restaurant by a staff member or members who didn't wear masks and gloves. That tells me they don't take my safety seriously. So why should I give them money? Losing me as a customer for life is the cost for their refusal to give me a refund. In other words, "Fine. Keep the $10. That's all you'll ever get from me." To put it another way, most of the time, I won't ever get to #3, but if I do, I'll be sure to tell them why. At that point, they can decide to make changes, or not and watch their restaurant go out of business for their stubborn refusal to comply with common-sense safety precautions.
