It would be great if mortgage forbearance didn't appear on credit reports. Technically, it's not supposed to affect someone's credit score, but the issue is that creditors can still see it and might deny them a loan, even with a high score. It's like being treated as if you have a bad credit score without actually having one, simply because they're prejudging a situation that's usually temporary.
