Coupled with one of Jesus illustrations at Matthew 7:13,14. "Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it." What do you think these two passages mean?

  5.  @AntaraDrawing  Hmmm. That is thought-provoking. However, notice what the Bible says at Galatians 6:7. "God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a person is sowing, this he will also reap." Does this not sound like the law of cause and effect? It does. But notice the verse says, "for whatever a person is sowing." Is it not reasonable to conclude that motivation and consequence affect a person based on their actions, not on some cosmic energy?

  12. Notice what the Bible says. (Psalms 37:10,11) "Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, and they will not be there. But the meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." (Psalms 37:29) "The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it." What does that tell you about the future for humanity?

  14. Notice what James 1:13 says. "When under trial, let no one say: 'I am being tried by God.' For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone." One day soon God will act to rid the world of wickedness. But he is not going to do it with something as chaotic as flooding. Think about the ten plagues. Remember who those plagues were directed to?

  17. ​ @raimiranda126  Not exactly. In Matthew 24:14, Jesus said people would preach the good news about God's Kingdom throughout the whole earth. Acts 5:42 says that Peter and the Christians preached "every day in the temple and from house to house." In Matthew 7:13,14, Jesus said there would only be one genuine religion acceptable to God, and very few would find it or stay on it. Those who would enter the narrow gate must traverse a narrow road, keep on asking, keep on seeking, keep on knocking, and God would open the way. This narrow road is not easy. Jesus said, "If anyone wants to come after me, let him disown himself and pick up his torture stake and keep following me." (Matthew 16:24) So if you put those two together, who do you suppose fits the description?

  18.  @donkoh5738  While God has blessed humanity with things like our wonderful planet, the sun, and rain that help sustain life, how do you suppose he is blessing people who do not know him. Notice what these two passages say: (John 17:3) "This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ." (1 Timothy 2:3,4) "This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of the truth." A person must come to know the true God (who is named Jehovah) through accurate knowledge. Only then can a person be in a position to receive blessings. Notice what the following says: (Exodus 23:25) "You must serve Jehovah your God, and he will bless your bread and your water. I will remove sickness from among you." So the blessing of Jehovah God on a person is contingent upon obedience to Him.

  20. That's an interesting observation. Thanks for sharing it. However, notice the later part of James 1:13. "For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone." And 1 John 4:8 reads, "God is love." Do you think "karma" is compatible with God's behavior?
