And again, when Satan challenged God a second time at 2:6 Jehovah said to Satan, "Look! He is in your hand! Only do not take his life!" In both cases, Satan caused Job's pain and suffering because that's who Satan is. He is an evil sadistic creature but seemingly a former angel of some renown (Ezekiel 28:12-19 provides a snapshot of whom he used to be before his downfall). Further, at John 8:44, Jesus called Satan "a murderer when he began." According to Job 2:1, Satan still had permission to enter God's court, although not welcomed. God only permitted Satan's challenge because he brought it before God's family of angels. At Job 2:4, Satan made a bold claim. "Skin for skin. A man will give everything that he has for his life." In other words, he charged that humans are selfish creatures. That they are only obedient to God because of the benefits they receive ("e.g., placed a hedge on every side around him"), and not because they love God. Yet despite all the terrible things Satan did, Job loved Jehovah with all his heart. Although he suffered great depression and, at times, gave undue attention to himself, he kept his integrity. He proved Satan a no-good liar! It is worth noting that when God demanded Satan not to kill Job, in rare form, he obeyed. Satan never challenged Jehovah's authority outright. He would never do that to the most powerful person in the universe. Instead, he questioned his sovereignty or his right to rule his creation, namely humans. That challenge began at the Garden of Eden. The universal court proceeding is still an on-going legal case between those who side with Satan and those who side with Jehovah. Satan has his evidence through various forms of human governments and conditions alienated from God to show that his system of things is a colossal failure. Contrast that there are close to nine million people today who continue to give the world a witness that living a life obedient to God is the best way. They are Jehovah's Witnesses. For as Jeremiah 10:23 aptly states, "I well know, O Jehovah, that man's way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step." So to answer your reply, there are no contradictions, and James 1:13 still stands.

So to be a true follower of Christ or a Christian means a person would NOT get involved in the politics of any nation because they actively support God's Kingdom. An effort where the young between ages 21 to whatever max age the medical community deems safe, volunteer to get infected with COVID-19, then are placed in isolation for three weeks. This action serves two purposes. 1. It creates a natural herd immunity. 2. It provides medical science with naturally produced antibodies. Most of those who fought in both World Wars were young. Many didn't survive, and parents knew their child(ren) could die. However, in this case, the medical community has REPEATEDLY stated that the vast majority of the young will be fine if infected. So the risk they could die from infection is quite low. In volunteering to do this, the young become heroes to help establish a herd immunity and provide the medical community with naturally produced antibodies. It would be their moment to shine as heroes.

If he used angels, they would not be able to convey human emotions or have human experiences. How God had the Bible written is a gift itself. However, I suspect that doesn't explain why the Bible comes from a divine origin, at least not to you. I could quote 2 Timothy 3:16, "All Scripture is inspired by God," but that wouldn't convince you. The only thing that could prove the Bible is of a divine origin would be to show something it contains that is superhuman or something no human can do. No human has a proven track record of foretelling the future, and anything they say comes from conjecture and educated guesses. Even a man like Nostradamus, who some believe to be a great foreteller, wasn't one-hundred accurate. The future cannot be told with absolute certainty by humans. However, Jehovah can. He proudly says so. (Isaiah 46:10) "From the beginning, I foretell the outcome, and from long ago, the things that have not yet been done." I'm sure you see those as mere words. You likely want proof. There are many examples in God's Word, but for the sake of brevity, let's consider one. You can find this prophecy at Isaiah 44:24, 27, 28, and 45:1-4. I'll quote the biblical verses for context. (Isaiah 44:24) "This is what Jehovah says, your Repurchaser, Who formed you since you were in the womb: 'I am Jehovah, who made everything. I stretched out the heavens by myself, and I spread out the earth. Who was with me?'" A watery deep will become evaporated, and rivers will dry up 2. The passage mentions a person named Cyrus by name 3. Jerusalem rebuilt 4. Doors would open for Cyrus Isaiah wrote down this inspired prophecy around 732 BCE. Was it fulfilled as described? Notice what is said by The Encyclopedia Americana (1956), Vol. III, p. 9; Light From the Ancient Past (Princeton, 1959), Jack Finegan, pp. 227-229; All Scripture Is Inspired of God and Beneficial (New York, 1983), pp. 282, 284, 295. "Isaiah wrote the prophecy before Cyrus's birth. The Jews were not taken into exile to Babylon until 617-607 BCE, and the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple did not happen until 607 BCE. In detail, starting in 539 BCE nearly 200 years later, the prophecy fulfilled. Cyrus was the founder of the Persian Empire, known at the time by "Cyrus the Great." Yet, that outcome occurred, as Jehovah said it would happen through Isaiah. Jehovah can speak these words with confidence. "So my word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight, and it will surely succeed in what I send it to do." (Isaiah 55:11) I hope you found that enlightening. 🙂

Perhaps you could pray to Jehovah directly and ask him to help you see if he is real. Many people have done that and have become Jehovah's Witnesses because of it. I recall one example of a man in prison praying to God, asking to send someone to help him. Just as he concluded his prayer, a Witness visiting the prison stopped by his cell. The man asked the Witness, "Are you an angel?" The man said, "No. Definitely not." The prisoner asked, "Do you know what I was just doing?!" "No, I don't." "I prayed to God to send me someone to help me know about him." Perhaps then you'll see that God is real. 🙂

There's no vaccine for COVID-19; hence there's no herd immunity, resulting in more people dying now. It's as simple as that. Outside of a vaccine, testing and contract tracing provide the best solution for slowing the spread. However, neither work well because tests are faulty or take too long, and there are not enough people conducting CTs. So the only other thing scientifically proven to work is masks, distancing, avoiding crowds, and washing hands. Outside of that, COVID-19 will run rampant and out of control and kill a LOT of people. It's like a firefighter trying to fight a raging forest fire with a garden hose.

The condition of the world and governments (Luke 21:10,11) Nation will rise against nation, and Kingdom against Kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another food shortages and pestilences. In contrast, is the global campaign by Jehovah's Witnesses to share with people from the Bible that God's government is the only real solution to solve humanity's problems. The campaign has been in continuous active service for over a hundred years. (Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Soon this campaign will end and, along with it, the opportunity to secure your future.
