  1. The Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution each contain a Due Process Clause. Due process deals with the administration of justice and thus the Due Process Clause acts as a safeguard from arbitrary denial of life, liberty, or property by the Government outside the sanction of law. Clause 39 of Magna Carta provides: No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any other way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land. In other words sending the police officer to jail without due process (i.e. a court trial) isn't justice. This is called revenge. Justice and revenge are not mutually exclusive. The parents are upset and rightly so. But it sounds like they desire vengeance sans trial. This isn't a vigilante society.

  2. ELIYAHU BARR I have no idea of what you're talking, or rather yelling, about. The tribe of Gad was one of the 12 tribes of Israel over 4,000 years ago. There was never a tribe of Gad in any land outside of Egypt, the Middle East and Israel.
