  1. In the us, masturbation was the reason circumcision persisted into the late '60s. Not even from the religious community, but from psychologists and doctors. They thought it would lessen the incidence of masturbation which was considered somewhat harmful. Actually the procedure takes away the most sensitive nerve cells and endings a man will ever have.
