If you pull it out half-way, you have destroyed that cake in reality and in all potential. It was going to be a fully formed cake. Half-formed, it's not cake?   20. 'Start somewhere' with basic human rights and protection. I don't care about living and non-living things. I care about human life. We're all at different stages. Should a human life have more value the longer it's alive? Is a 6 month fetus with brain activity, pain response, REM activity, heartbeat, not a human life? How 3 months? Not human, or alive then? How about one month? Consistently, I'd have to say conception. Although, my brain will still allow for abortion in the first trimester, so I'll have to get back to you on this one. hmm.  @wardandrew23412

  37. @Oskar Fors In the philosophy world, {which I'm not in}, knowledge, is a subset of belief. That said, what I like to look at are beliefs and why you hold them. What reasons does someone have to hold a belief. I think that's important, so we hold rational beliefs with good reason.

From lifelong atheist, at age 17, to true believer in moments. Went to Biola and majored in Bible. Spent weekends street evangelizing in LA and my hometown, for years. Brought many to Jesus. I was a youth pastor, worship leader and prayer leader. I was baptized in the 'holy spirit', spoke in tongues, {still can for fun and giggles} I lived in prayer, the Word and the Body. Then one day, one week, I woke up. Like from a dream. It was all nonsense. God, the Bible, prayer, everything. All illusion. Reality is sweet and life makes so much more sense, with so much more real purpose and passion now. I wish you the same. And yes, traditionally Arminism and Calvinism have described the two camps on the issue of salvation loss, stop pretending otherwise. There are solid scriptures for both positions. The Bible is filled with contradictions like this and you know it.

Without citing chapter and verse, there are a number of scriptures that show you can lose your salvation. To the point that the "Church" has been divided on this for centuries. For you to simply claim that your interpretation is right, is silly. The Bible is not clear on this subject. It is contradictory like many other things in it's pages. I was a "true believer". I gave my life to Christ. Accepted his redemption for my sins. I repented. i prayed daily, continuously. Studied the Bible and led many to Christ. Loved Jesus with all my heart. Then I woke up. So, yes, you can be a "real Christian" , then not be. I'm living proof. You're living , in denial."If you deny me before men, I will deny you before my Father in heaven".   67. I get your point. But if you wait until the fetus has a functioning heart and nervous system and body parts, where do you draw the line? There's no logical reason to draw a line in the middle. It's more consistent to say that once that sperm/egg union starts the process of development, of a human being, than it's "on the team". That ball is rolling.
