  1. No. The wood is not more 'dried out". He's mistaken about the "water content/green wood" after kiln-drying..... Kiln-drying is fine. It is accelerated over nature, but after about 1 month, a batch of kiln dried wood has had it's moisture content reduced to atmospheric levels. It's the oils/resins in the wood that take years to slowly harden/decompose that will affect the tone of an acoustic for example.
