  3.  @GippyHappy  You have to be very young. Go watch the movie The birds. By Alfred Hitchcock, it was just a bunch of normal fluffy pretty birds. And that movie scared the crap out of everyone who sees it or saw it and has influenced horror movies for the last 50 or 60 years. They didn't need to have rabies or any kind of disease they just needed to show up in a big group.

  5.  @GippyHappy  No, being scary makes people afraid of bats. And they don't need to be large. Except they travel in huge packs, thousands at a time. So yeah they're pretty scary. Flying long tooth mice? Eeww
