It was the lack of foreign entanglements and a European lack of interest in the western hemisphere compared to Asia that kept America out of wars it didn't want to fight until it itself decided to get involved all over the world. Not to mention the geographical isolation you had. Which, you know, shows how the slogan doesn't work. America has been constantly at war, for its entire existence if we are honest, but most specifically since the 40s. So how is that peace working for you, with your debt accumulated through your wars of choice?
