@BoskoBuha99 I didn't say that it was the government, I said that parts of the government were in cahoots with it. For example they knew what was afoot and didn't even properly warn the Austrians. And then they basically made a sham of the investigation. Also I notice that you are silent on the military ties. As for Russia, don't make me laugh. It was a direct escalation, there is literally no reason for Russia to mobilise other than to save its pet (which it didn't even have a treaty with). And as you can tell from France's own mobilisation in response to Germany's, Russia had to know how the countries would react. By the way, spare me your victim complex. Not everyone buys every letter of the Russian narrative of the oh so innocent victim.

Well, the Serbs did kick it off and Russia's mobilisation escalated what would have been just the third Balkan war to at least a European war.

@BoskoBuha99 You mean Serbia willingly served as a haven for terrorists and members of its government and army helped. As for Russia's mobilisation, it directly escalated because it forced Germany to mobilise, too. And you know full damn well that it was a threat aimed at Austria.
