Serbia and Russia.

The dissolution of Austria-Hungary is honestly a tragedy and just another black mark left on the world by the war.

Hmm, makes one wonder if these forms of propaganda is still alive and well today... no, it can't be.😉
3
I really just despise the Entente.
3
I would have tried to overturn this peace treaty, too, if I am honest.
2
@jehaert Wow, what on Earth have you been snorting when you wrote this?
1
 @828enigma6 What about Iraq?
1
"Could have been the decisive breakthrough", oh if only.
1
@JacquesRoux1918 This word alone tells me everything I need to know about you.
1
You fought for freedom in Iraq, Afghanistan and in Vietnam? Not to mention that in WW1 the US came on the side of colonial powers fighting against colonial powers over the question of state sponsored terrorism.
1
@brocklanders6969 Sure, you fought for freedom in those places.
1
@brocklanders6969 Must be wonderful having one's thoughts clouded with nationalistic myths.
1
The netting on the roof reminds me of the "cope cages" you see today in the Ukraine war. The more things change...
1
And so begins the slow creep of the MIC towards dictating American foreign policy.😉
1
And so the arch hypocrite among the nations begins her steady climb towards the disgusting world-wide warmonger she is today.
1
Wilson and his speech, full of hypocrisy.
1
Franz Ferdinand had it right.
1
Yeah, sure. What is needed is for the US to get an attitude adjustment before it starts more wars all over the world.
1
As the History of the Germans podcast says, the French always, always wanted Lothringen.😜
1
Ah, Wilson that hypocritical messiah.
1
France really had it coming.
1
@pougetguillaume4632 Getting rolled over by tanks.
1
@pougetguillaume4632 I'm not sure what second time you mean, but I'm clearly talking about 1940.
1
@pougetguillaume4632 No, I'm pretty sure they had it coming.
1
@pougetguillaume4632 What would be the point when I'm fishing for people like you? So, what does the opinion of Mombauer have to do with France having had it coming?
1
@pougetguillaume4632 That's nice and all, but how does that change the fact that France had it coming?
1
@pougetguillaume4632 Hmm, no. You quoting opinions at me that you happen to agree with doesn't really change that France had it coming.
1
@pougetguillaume4632 I don't think you quite understand what you've been doing here.
1
@pougetguillaume4632 In your fury over a comment 7 months old wounding your French pride you've thrown opinions at me as if they were the unshakable truth.
1
@pougetguillaume4632 They aren't removed, but hidden. You can see them if you sort the comments by newest. And why should I fall into the trap the French nationalist set for himself? I have better things to do than quoting historians who disagree with you.
1
@pougetguillaume4632 That comment really tickled you, didn't it? So much so that you are now inventing things and your English is breaking down. I didn't even tell you to prove anything.😃
1
@pougetguillaume4632 Oh, alright. You interpreted that as an invitation to prove something. And of course you are a nationalist. Have you checked the length of the angry comments you are writing on that topic?😂
1
@pougetguillaume4632 😂 After obsessing over a one-liner for an entire day, you end up writing 'no u'.😂
1
@pougetguillaume4632 And now you're trying to turn the tables, despite the majority of the comments being yours.😂
1
 @pougetguillaume4632 🤣

The indemnity from the Franco-Prussian war was an upscaled version of what Prussia had to pay in 1806 in addition to losing half her territory. And don't give me Brest-Litovsk, Russia had to let go of territories they had already lost control over and that mostly wanted to seceed. Not to mention that they could have had a better deal, but chose to poker high for nothing.
1
@thibaultletricheur1884 Rubbish. You are saying that Bismarck started a war by sending a vaguely insulting letter to France? That's your justification? Oh poor France, they just couldn't let that one slide in their delusion of still being the main European power. Besides, France assured Russia of their support as they went all in in the Balkans by backing up Serbia, who Russia was not allied with.
1
What a load of bull.
1
If only it had worked, but alas it was not to be.
1
Frankly, I'm not too broken up about the French humiliation two decades later.
1
@smal750 What do you think I mean?
1
@AlexanderXVIIII Wut? Serbia was an aggressively expanding terror state.
1
Deutsche Bahn in shambles, shamed by their ancestor service.😅
1
The arch hypocrites among nations must have forgotten about American slavery.
1
Isn't it great that we are now at a place in which one side has basically decided to dissolve an enemy state? No quarters given here. Oh, and Wilson and his 14 points. Yeah, those will never ever create problems later on.
1
And with that my family landed on the Polish side of the border. Oh, and France really had it coming.
1
Arch hypocrite among nations. Fits as much today as it did back then.
1
Regime change is a time honoured tradition in the west.😅
1
Man, I despise Wilson and his 14 points creating just more resentment.
1
Ah, the arch hypocrite among nations. Jesus Christ, I despise Woodrow Wilson.
