  1. We don't have any leverage. Europe's influence in the world has been in freefall for decades now, probably because we are willful vassals to the criminals in charge (who blew up the Nord Stream pipelines). Which is why we are so enthusiastically supporting every foreign "adventure" (read: disaster) of the clowns in the White House, even (or always) to our own disadvantage. You think China is impressed by the subservience? They know that it doesn't matter what they discuss with the EU, once the US asks us to sanction China, we'll ask "how many rounds?".
