I appreciate Boris Johnson for personally scuttling the peace talks in April. Thank God he intervened, could you imagine the damage an end to the conflict would have caused?

@jacqdanieles Hah, you don't honestly think that Ukraine was in a healthy economic place before the war, do you? Russia was literally working on turning off one of the spigots (the transit fees for Russian gas), which was the main reason the eastern European countries got so up in arms about NordStream. What, you think Zelensky could have looked forward to continued western aid if he had refused to fight?

@jacqdanieles Of course Ukraine had agency and sovereignty. Then Boris flew in and reminded Zelensky of what he is supposed to do and like the good little country that is completely dependent on financial and military aid, it complied.
