  2.  @dresdenkiller  Oh, is that so? Because I know that the Bundeswehr in 1988 had 500k men. West Germany alone. This idea that "Germany didn't want an army following WW2" is utter rubbish and a myth. By the way, that means the Bundeswehr used to be larger than it currently is allowed to be under international law.

  3.  @jaysonkmendoza  You are wrong. The government under Adenauer very purposefully worked towards remilitarisation. It wasn't "imposed" by anyone, but opposed by the likes of France.
