  1. No matter how the investigation turns out, this should trigger Patriot batteries be brought in. If the west doesn't trust Ukraine with it's super secret toys, then bring in crews from the west. Maybe russian weapons shot down before they even get to Ukraine will give pause to think on the russian side. The reason they may not do this is they want the Ukrainian victory to be totally theirs with no western involvement at all. Which is a compelling reason. Of course russia already says they are fighting NATO, but there is no reason to give this argument legitimacy.
