So . . . A fake referendum was done in Crimea in 2014 & Russia claimed that territory as Russia. Ukraine has attacked there several times. And we are expected to believe that they would use 'all means' to defend the new 'territories'? Russia will be just as inept with the new territories as it is protecting Crimea.

It occurs to me you will be issued a weapon (such as it is) by the government. They probably don't issue rounds until you are at the front. I'm sure Russia has already considered all this. Command is usually well back maybe more afraid of it's own troops than Ukraine? But the 'random shooter' may replace the 'careless smoker' in news in the future. Also many people believe guns are banned. There is very much a gun subculture in Russia.
