@julianshepherd2038 You hear the Russian troops talking about being 'rotated in' but complain they aren't allowed to leave. So a one side rotation I guess.

'Caskets' and I agree totally with what he & you say. They can't draw down too far from the other borders they have with 'not so friendly' nations. And a declaration of war & mobilization with a draft would draw from all regions. So it isn't so much they have no options. Just none of them very good.

@JamesC785 Agreed. But a general mobilization won't go over well in the large cities. I think the regime is smart enough to know this.

Unless it is insulting don't be so pedantic. It is like the wrong way Ukraine's say some of the weapon systems wrong. It is charming in a way & makes no difference at all. We know what they mean.

Basically. And whatever the 1st 'plan all along' now becomes a feint & the new plan was the 'plan all along'. I'm telling you, the Russians are military geniuses. It is like a prize fighter punching himself in the groin & crumpling to the floor to put his opponent into a false sense of security. No Western country would ever come up with a plan so cunning. LOL!!!

What is put out for public consumption may be really the case or put out there hoping the other side will believe it. What is said on this video or from Lavrov's lips probably doesn't expose much at all. Lavrov sometimes is a good reverse barometer. Just think the opposite of what he says & you will be pretty close to the truth.

Expanding Russian war aims . . . Is anyone really surprised by this? After threats to Poland, The Baltics, Finland, turning the UK to a burning cinder, etc, etc, Is anyone really surprised that Russia has expanding war aims in Ukraine? I heard Lavrov's speech. So . . . If the fortunes of war change (I can hear the Russian trolls squealing like little girls now) and Ukraine rolls up to the Russian border. Should they now consider taking a buffer zone of Russian territory for themselves based on the range of Russian weapons? Someone explain to me how that concept is any different. Except in the fact that it might actually be warranted & 'doable'. If you don't speak Russian, at one point, Lavrov stuttered a bit & said basically he couldn't explain 'logically' why Ukraine was defending itself. A common theme of the whole war that Russians don't understand why they aren't welcomed & let them do whatever they want to do. I think some of them really are perplexed. Plus it was one of the few times truth has crossed Lavrov's lips. LOL!!!

No Russian trolls yet? I'm feeling a little lonely & dejected here . . . LOL!! Maybe not controversial enough? Or maybe too self evident. How about this one. I think the Russian news agencies stopped reporting this one because even they thought is was too outrageous. Ukrainian soldiers having their blood serum replace by Super Soldier Serum made in the US. They will soon field many mutant soldiers!! White House response . . . Pinky finger to the lips & strikes Dr. Evil pose. LOL!!
