I would definitely like to hear the actions of Macron explained. This should be good. Not being in lock-step with the US is perfectly understandable. Except the timing couldn't be worse. I see Macron as approaching these dictators with hat in hand & saying what they want to hear. It would be much more beneficial to keep the wolves from Taiwan's door to NOT say some of things he did say. Standing by idly in a situation very similar to the one in Ukraine is just a weak 'as long as it isn't in my back yard' response.

@birdatbattlefield We are already on the second russo-Ukrainian war. I think you mean the third one.

@araara4746 Definitely pro ambiguity before the conflict. Doesn't hurt to keep China guessing. While you say nice things like 'yes to one China'. The way to keep the peace is to show strength & that you might just get involved if they show aggression. But if you are a troll/bot, I'm sure you have your narrative to promote.

@araara4746 Ambiguity has nothing to do with double standard. It has everything to do with not letting a potential adversary know what you might do. Do not send a telegraph saying, 'I will do this if you do that'.

@araara4746 Double-speak is hypocrisy. I thought you had something confused.

@araara4746 AHHH! There is the rhetoric, twisting the truth I would think a troll would put forward. Go ahead with your rant. I won't be interrupting you anymore.

@mandrews1245 I know. And it isn't just in France. But they do seem to excel at this. 'Macron gotta do what he gonna do' I guess.

@notliquid1448 What is said in a speech & what is said in private can be completely different. It is more the 'front' that was put on.

@araara4746 I just saw your confusion & didn't read the question. LOL!! The double speak of One China wasn't so when it first was proposed (80's I think). Many countries including the US bought into it. They will still go with it but not with violence. The China of the 80's is not the manically violent China of today. One China never should have been accepted but they saw promise in an emerging China back then. If Taiwan seek independence (which they haven't yet) or violence is used, One China will be dropped like the rotten vestige it probably is with modern China.

@araara4746 BTW, you know your comments are being reported & deleted, right? I normally don't advise trolls if you are one. You seem much better than most.
