  1. Don't make fun of Simonyan. I think she may be on to something. There are nukes that don't leave a lot of lingering radiations. The EMP she is talking about would only be of limited scope. 100 km over Siberia would shut down all unshielded electronics susceptible to induce currents over Siberia. It would not effect the whole earth as she says. An shielded electonics would not be affected. I think she is confusing EMP with coronal mass ejection from the Sun. Which would do the same thing.
