  1. You don't need to be an economist to understand. The head of the Russian Central Bank is a very smart lady. She has come up with some very innovative ideas to keep the Ruble propped up. But this can only go on so long before the government can't afford it. If the Ruble stays in a market environment inside Russia, it could eventually free fall. Many countries disassociated from the Ruble trade it at 150 Rubles to the Dollar. I would imagine the Government would declare an official value before a free fall price like in the mid 1990s. But the actual value outside will continue to fall if they trade it at all.
