@1midnightfish Upkeep on nukes is damnably expensive. They will reach a point where they will gladly sell components. They will eventually (not soon enough) disarm themselves one way or another. If you have Orclandia break up into a couple of dozen countries, would it be unreasonable for them to keep say, 10 nukes for deterrence? They saw what happened to Ukraine when she gave her nukes away. I don't think we are talk about disarming them completely. In fact talks have been going on behind the curtains for this very thing with russia.

@bloggalot4718 If forced back to the 2013 borders, putin's regime will have been replaced a long time before that. The Orcs don't tolerate weak losers well. The next moster-to-be might be just as bad but it will take year to consolidate power. They will be very willing to play ball with the rest of the world. Power ascension is different in russia and hard for us to understand. I suspect they won't be near as authoritative as putin. And will want to join the world community of nations as soon as possible. There will be many conditions set up for that. Some more important that the surrender of criminals. But criminals will certainly be high on the list.

Easy to avoid judicial consequences now. Maybe not so much later. Of course putin could always avoid it later. If he is lucky 'jetting away to Cuba. If he isn't so lucky being beaten to death in a water drainage pipe by his own citizens. He would probably not like to follow Ghedaffi's example.
