  3.  @garfieldsplace7540  Not all are in trenches. But it will be hard to see how they will do an sort of operations with more that half of them frozen in place. It would seem pretty obvious that any heat source will stand out against a frozen back ground. So even a small fire in some bombed out home can probably be easily found. It could be the front will just crumble away due to hypothermic stupor or death. The body bags will be piling up on the russian side.
