There has been evidence of this throughout the years. The world just turned a blind eye to both Putin's 'Russia World' & USSR. I would like to think the indignation this time around is due to more details. I think really it was apathy in the past. They had plenty of details back then as well. When this is all over, I think the world will turn to apathy again. Wanting to get back to cheap gas & business as usual. Then another Monster will take Putin's place & we start all over again in a decade or two. Nothing will be learned. No real help will be given to the Russians to help them make real change. Ukraine will be built up & it will be a golden age for them. But their long term defense will be forgotten about in the West. We still ignore the Uyghurs in China. Many will cry out for sanctions to be lifted as soon as the fighting stops. There will be no evidence of change in Russia for 5 years. We won't know that much until 10 years after.
