  2. Why, yes I have been to russia many times. Not fair to say the poor old russians don't make anything . . . They make lots of trouble. Okay, seriously. Ummmmm, they do make high quality Baltic Birch plywood. They are quite prized by woodworkers. It is extracted from the forest, true enough but then they have to fabricate the panels. They were actually better than most anything you could get made here. But of course most of what they make is destined to the scrap heap very soon.

  4.  @wirrwarr8834  When you are in desperate need to prove how mighty russia isn't a complete failure, Kazakhstan is close enough. In fact the inventions of any country historically belonging to russia at one time, is a russian invention. LOL!!
