I think your premise might be possible with a competent military. But this is brain dead putin's military we are talking about. And his circus freak show of an army is hardly capable of learning. I have seen them adapt true enough, but nothing major. For the Orc clowns to do anything but cause chaos, they would have to have a major shake up.
