  1. Some drones do have ATA capability but controlling a drone in mid air battle is like trying to steer a car looking thru a drinking straw. If you want to establish air superiority, you will need manned fighter jets. It is likely there is already a cadre of trained pilots ready to go in Ukraine. A drone that can do air battle is quiet expensive in fact. Not as much as an F-16. I will agree with you there. But you might be surprised.

  2. The US support for Ukraine is strong & US politicians should fall in line with that & quit the foot dragging. Ukraine may be one of the rising stars in Europe after it is rebuilt & they will probably remember well who was their friend in times of war & who wasn't.

  4.  @kevinu.k.7042  There are ways to take out the mighty S-300s & S-400s. They have even fired some of these missile from the old soviet planes after converting them. This has been already done in previous wars. This same air cap can be extremely successful in shooting down cruise missiles. There is high tech sensor flying just outside the conflict that can vector any flight. And gathering data on hypersonic missiles that russia showed far too early & other goodies the russians are showing us.
