I was once told that people didn't understand logistics in getting weapons. It was about the time the US had run stocks of Javelins down to 2/3 what it normally had. And they want to keep those for their use. Then they said they were sending a whopping 4 HiMARS unit. We only have 1300 of them. The excuse of not understanding logistics doesn't wash either. The bottle neck may be a private railroad transporting this in Ukraine. The only reason for us to keep 2/3's stock is if we expect Russia to conjure up more tanks & if logistics is a problem why not announce 20 are in the first delivery? I smell something very rotten in keeping Javelins & only sending 4 HiMARS to start. If our battlefield 'toys' are too precious for the Ukrainians to use, let's be honest about it & tell Ukraine we won't be sending anything else. That way they will know where the stand at least.

@dixonpinfold2582 Not at all. China has very little sealift capability so tanks won't be a problem. In fact there will be some but 1/4 of our stocks could easily handle that. Give Ukraine what it needs for what it was designed for. It is possible that even with a very large Chinese Navy, there would be little in the way of landings unless they take total control of the air. And short of landing within 24 hours could be dissuaded with a few submarines. Which I'm sure are already in place.
